Counseling Approach
Hi, my name is Brittany. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Boise, Idaho. I am committed to supporting teens, adults, and couples as they navigate anxiety, body image concerns, self-esteem challenges, and relational growth by helping them move toward healing and deeper connection. I offer individual and couples sessions to help guide you through life’s challenges and embark on a journey of self-discovery. All are welcome here! In this space, I invite you to show up as your authentic self in a place of acceptance and safety. My office is LGBTQIA2s+, size-inclusive, and culturally accepting.
My graduate training and professional experience focused on assisting adolescents and adults with processing trauma, behavioral health management, crisis stabilization, and relational skills. Beyond my clinical training, I also utilize counseling personally to work through my own struggles, so I understand how challenging it can be to take those first steps.
I believe we all have the ability to thrive, even in the face of life’s challenges. I’m passionate about helping individuals and couples understand and live through their values by uncovering their purpose, strengths, and skills, which allows them to reframe their relationship with painful experiences. In sessions, I use experiential therapeutic techniques like art, play, and movement alongside talk therapy to keep therapy engaging and active. I am currently in training as an EMDR therapist, adding another layer of support for healing.
Navigating life’s challenges can be tricky, but finding the right counselor shouldn’t be. I look forward to meeting you and seeing if we are a good fit!
A Little About Me
When I’m not in counseling sessions, I am usually adventuring outdoors (hiking, climbing, backpacking, traveling, swimming, etc.) with my dog Canela (Pit Bull/Lab mix), reading a fantasy or non-fiction book, or spending time with my friends and family.
